Barcelona Manager Xavi to Step Down

Former Player to Depart at Season's End

Xavi Hernandez, manager of FC Barcelona, has announced that he will step down from his role at the end of the current season.

The former midfielder, who took charge of the club in November 2021, made the announcement during a press conference on Saturday. He cited his desire for a new challenge and a need for the club to make a change in direction.

"I think it's the right time for me to step aside," Xavi said. "I've given everything I have to this club, and I'm proud of what we've achieved together. But I believe we need a new voice in the dressing room, someone who can bring fresh ideas and help us to move forward."

Xavi's departure will mark the end of an era for Barcelona. The 43-year-old is a club legend, having played for the first team for 17 years and winning numerous trophies, including eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.

It is unclear who will replace Xavi as Barcelona manager. However, former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick is reportedly the favorite to take over.
