Deadly Tornado Outbreak In Missouri

Deadly Tornado Outbreak in Missouri

Two Tornadoes Confirmed, Five Killed

A large tornado tore through southeastern Missouri before dawn on Wednesday, killing at least five people and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The tornado was part of a severe storm system that spawned multiple tornadoes across the central United States, including an EF2 tornado with 130 mph winds in Bollinger County, Missouri. The storm system has since weakened, but communities are still assessing the damage and recovering from the devastation.

The tornado in southeastern Missouri touched down near the town of Dexter and traveled for approximately 10 miles, destroying homes and businesses along its path. The National Weather Service has confirmed that the tornado was an EF4 with winds of up to 170 mph. Emergency responders are currently searching for survivors and clearing debris, while residents are being urged to stay out of affected areas.

The storm system also produced tornadoes in other parts of Missouri, including an EF1 tornado in Lincoln County and an EF0 tornado in Marion County. No injuries have been reported from these tornadoes, but there has been some damage to property.
